Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress, comedian, activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. She gained notoriety for her appearances on AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until in 2020. She was also a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). After being cast in the TV pilot unaired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents and she were exiled from antisemitism by the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships in the family, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School briefly however she dropped out during her sophomore year. She later obtained the GED, and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
