His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson started uploading videos to YouTube in early 2012 at the age of 13, under the username "MrBeast6000" His early content included everything from "Let's Plays to "videos which estimated the wealth of other YouTubers." In 2017, the "counting as high as 100,000" YouTube video became viral. He was 13 years older and was using the username "MrBeast6000". The first videos were Let's Plays and videos that analyzed other YouTubers' wealth. Donaldson hired his childhood friends to manage the brand as it grew. MrBeast the main YouTube channel of Donaldson, a channel, with more than 100 million subscribers was founded in 2022.
